The Cheat Sheet Donuts
Bree & Nathan's Donuts (Gluten Free/Paleo)
2/3 cup of Coconut Sugar
1/2 cup of Coconut Flour
1/2 cup of Tapioca Starch
1 teaspoon of baking powder
3/4 teaspoon of salt
1/4 cup of butter, melted and cooled
2 large eggs
3/4 cup of dairy free or traditional milk
1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease two 6-cavity doughnut pans with nonstick cooking spray or butter
- Whisk the coconut sugar, flour, starch, baking powder and salt together in a medium mixing bowl
- Add the melted butter, milk, eggs, vanilla, and mix till smooth. The batter should be thick.
- Spoon the batter into the prepared pans, filling the cavities around three-quarters full. If you have a piping bag and large pastry tip lying around, I suggest using those instead for even batter.
- Lightly tap the pans on the counter to settle the batter before placing them in the oven
- Bake the doughnuts until they are golden and spring back to the touch, about 15 minutes.
- Allow them to cool for around 5 minutes.
- Decorate with a glaze or by themselves.
